Efecto de la terapia de ventosas en comparación con el ejercicio aeróbico de intensidad moderada sobre el perfil lipídico en mujeres con diabetes

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto de la ventosaterapia húmeda en comparación con el ejercicio aeróbico de intensidad moderada sobre el perfil lipídico y la glucemia en mujeres obesas con diabetes. Sesenta mujeres diabéticas participaron en este estudio; sus edades oscilaron entre 40 y 60 años, y su índice de masa corporal (IMC) entre 30 y 34.9 kg/m². Fueron asignadas aleatoriamente a dos grupos: el grupo A recibió medicación y ejercicio aeróbico moderado tres veces por semana durante ocho semanas, mientras que el grupo B recibió medicación y ventosaterapia húmeda en dos sesiones durante dos meses. Se midieron los niveles de triglicéridos, colesterol total, colesterol LDL y colesterol HDL antes y después de las ocho semanas, al final del estudio. El estudio demostró una reducción estadísticamente significativa en los niveles de triglicéridos (p<0.01). Los niveles de colesterol total (p<0.01) y LDL (p<0.05) disminuyeron significativamente en ambos grupos. Los niveles de HDL aumentaron significativamente en el grupo A (p<0.01), mientras que no se observó un aumento significativo en el grupo B (p>0.05). Se concluyó que el ejercicio aeróbico fue más efectivo que la terapia de ventosas en el perfil lipídico de mujeres diabéticas.
