Good reaction speed is essential for coping with the intense demands of fencing competitions, requiring athletes to maintain a high level of physical fitness. The movements performed in fencing require well-developed physical abilities to achieve optimal performance. This study aimed to examine the effect of different training methods on the reaction speed of fencing athletes. This quantitative study employed an experimental research design to determine the effect of training methods on reaction speed. The study sample consisted of 30 athletes. The study included three independent variables: circuit training, interval training, and fartlek training, and one dependent variable: reaction speed. The results of the ANOVA indicated a statistically significant difference in reaction speed among the different training methods (F=3.365, p=0.033). The findings indicate that the training methods examined in this study were associated with differences in the reaction speed of fencing athletes. Circuit training may be a practical form of training for improving physical fitness while requiring relatively little training time. Further research is recommended to investigate the long-term effects of these training interventions in larger and more diverse populations.
